The Roskill Development area spans a large part of central Auckland, from Mt Albert in the north to Waikōwhai in the south, and from New Windsor in the west to Three Kings in the east. Over time, more than a dozen of Roskill’s neighbourhoods will see redevelopment of their state housing. The first two neighbourhoods to get underway are Ōwairaka and Mt Roskill South
Roskill South
Roskill South is a young, culturally diverse community well equipped with schools, parks and public amenities.
Ōwairaka is a well-connected neighbourhood that has a highly-regarded school and kindergarten, an abundance of public parks, and a proud sporting history.
Waikōwhai is a culturally diverse community of over 5,000 people. The neighbourhood is a 20 minute drive from Auckland’s CBD. Its southern boundary meets the Manukau Harbour at Waikōwhai Bay.
