A NEIGHBOURHOOD COMING TOGETHER

Waikōwhai is part of the wider Roskill Development, led by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities. This spring, the first market homes are complete, the reserve works along Te Auaunga are finished, and the next stages are getting underway.

WHERE STAGE 1 AND 2 STAND

Physical works are complete, enabling approximately 380 new homes, including 22 social homes and 43 market homes. All market land across these stages is contracted, with seven development partners.

GEARING UP FOR THE MARKET

First market Homes: house construction is complete on two market superlots, delivering 43 homes, with the first market homes available to buy now. More market homes will start construction this year and be released for sale.

• WK-22B – 28 market homes built by Yeoman Homes – Molley Green Place
• WK-27B – 15 market homes built by Neilston Homes – Molley Green Place

KAITIAKITANGA FOR THE COMMUNITY 

Molley Green Reserve upgrade is complete. The Te Auaunga ki Tai Reserve, an extension of Molley Green, is now complete too. The community came together to mark the occasion — read more about the celebration here. Key works delivered include wastewater and stormwater upgrades, watermain installation, power trenching, stream channel flushing, planting and new walkways. The project provides critical infrastructure upgrades for current and future residents, while celebrating the daylighting and restoration of Te Auaunga. We're working with Council to complete compliance, with the reserve expected to open in early 2027.

HE AHA RĀ? STAGE 3, 4 AND 4B MOVING FORWARD

Resource consents and engineering approvals are now in place. House removals in Stages 4 and 4B are well underway, and civil works start in November, enabling around 250 new homes, a mix of social and market.
