A NEIGHBOURHOOD IN FULL BLOOM

Roskill South is part of the wider Roskill Development, a major regeneration programme led by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities. This spring, more than 540 new homes are complete, around 150 more are under construction, and the neighbourhood is well and truly coming together. 

HOMES TAKING ROOT

All physical works are complete across 16 hectares, enabling around 880 homes. Here's where things stand:

• Homes complete: over 540, made up of around 280 market and affordable homes and 265 social homes.

• Under construction: approximately 150 homes.

• Social housing: one existing social housing site will deliver a further 27 homes.

• Still to come: more market homes will be completed and released for sale through to 2028, across eight build partners.

• Land: the majority of sites are contracted, with only a couple still available.

PARKS, PLAY AND COMMUNITY

Roskill South is becoming a neighbourhood that's easy to get around and nice to spend time in. Here's what's been delivered for the people who live here:

• Freeland Reserve upgrade: a refreshed green space for neighbours to enjoy.

• A new council park: another place to gather, relax and meet.

• A character street: a more welcoming streetscape at the heart of the neighbourhood.

• Four new pedestrian walkways: easier, safer ways to get to the shops, school and each other's homes.

• A new signalised intersection: safer crossing for families, walkers and drivers.

HOMES DELIVERED THIS QUARTER

All physical works are now complete across 16 hectares and all four stages of the Roskill South Development, enabling around 880 homes in total.

• RS-03B – 13 market homes built by Sandford – Roseman Avenue

• RS-06A – 22 market homes built by Actionstar Freeland Avenue
