WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THE GROUND
Roskill South is part of the wider Roskill Development, a major regeneration programme led by Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities. Together, we’re helping reshape this well-loved area with modern, warm homes, greener spaces and better community amenities.
The Roskill South development will ultimately deliver 880 brand-new homes, replacing around 265 existing social homes and creating a vibrant, mixed community for generations to come.
PROGRESS ACROSS THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
All physical works are complete across 17 hectares and all 4 stages of the Roskill South Development, enabling around 950 homes.
Here’s what’s been achieved so far:
- 528 homes completed: (263 market and 265 social).
- Approximately 137 homes under construction.
- Additional market homes will be available for sale and completed through 2027, delivered across ten build partners.
PARKS, PLAY AND COMMUNITY SPACES
- We're proud to have delivered significant infrastructure improvements to the area, including the Freeland Reserve upgrade, a brand new council park, a character street, four upgraded pedestrian walkways, and a new signalised intersection.
LOOKING AHEAD
Roskill South continues to grow into a connected, welcoming and liveable neighbourhood, with homes, parks and amenities now coming together. Thank you to the local community for your support and input.
